Visiting hours
Visitors are essential to patient health and wellbeing. We consider patients’ visiting preferences with clinical care, safety and the need for rest.
We are flexible about when you can visit people in our hospitals. However, there may be times when we may need to restrict visitors or ask visitors to leave.
Some wards may have set visiting rules. Please check below for more information.

Adolescent Unit (Rosella):
- School Term - Weekdays: 2:30 pm to 8 pm, Weekends: 9 am to 8 pm
- School Holidays: 9 am to 8 pm
Adult Unit (Kamala): 9 am to 8 pm
Mental Health ICU (Melaleuca): 9 am to 8 pm
Older Persons Unit (Waratah): 9 am to 8 pm

There are food outlets on the ground floor and level 1 of the main hospital building.

Pharmacy
There is a pharmacy located on the first floor of the main building. It's open to the public for hospital issued prescriptions. This pharmacy is not for general community use.
Banking
There are multi-card ATMs on the ground floor of the hospital and on level 1 in the corridor to the car park link bridge.
Accommodation
Wishlist House is available to patients, families and carers who need to stay close to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital while undergoing treatment, surgery or emergency stays.
